What is MATDA?

The Mid-America Tire Dealers Association was established on July 30, 1990, specifically for independent tire dealers and their enterprises. With the increase in new regulations, it is crucial for tire dealers to voice their worries in a structured manner to have an impact. A reputable organization can create a well-organized communication network to safeguard, educate, and keep its members informed about industry-specific issues.

Business Representation

Represents your business interests at
the State Capitol. This can reduce the cost of
doing business by limiting or stopping adverse legislation.

Educational Activities

Provides educational activities
throughout the year at various locations around the region. In today’s business world, the need to keep up with changes in the industry is all too familiar.

Communication

MATDA staff maintains close lines of
communication with state and federal
regulatory agencies. This helps members stay
in compliance, thus avoiding costly fines.

Annual Convention

MATDA offers opportunities to interact with
fellow tire industry peers. Each year, the
annual convention brings members, exhibitors, industry experts, and special guests together.

Consultation

MATDA staff is always available to help with
questions related specifically to your business. If the staff doesn’t know the answer, they’ll find someone who does, and relay the information to you.

Member Benefits

MATDA offers special services available
only to members. There are many benefits and savings to be derived from group participation: insurance programs, cost saving business forms, merchant processing and more.

Membership Categories


Active Member:

Independent tire dealers, wholesalers, retreaders, or any business entities involved in the tire industry, retail or commercial, are eligible for this category.

Annual dues are set by membership type:

  • Dealer Member: $350
  • Supplier Member: $500


Affiliate Member:

Individuals from an active member's business entity, such as branch store managers, key employees, or sales representatives of Active MATDA members in good standing, qualify for this category. 

Annual dues for Affiliates are $60.
